Daniel Dumile or better known as his stage name MF Doom stands for Metal Face Doom or Middle Finger Doom, is a well-known and esteemed underground rapper. With his infatuation with comic characters and comic books, the rapper wears the mask of Maximus Decimus Meridius from gladiator. In his latest coverage in Frank Magazine, which will focus on the former Zev Love X, Dooms’ stage name when he created his first group “KMD” in 1988. The group consisted of Doom, his brother DJ Subroc and MC Rodan. After Rodan decided to leave the group Zev or Doom discovered Onyx the Birthstone Kid to take his place. Soon after, the group was signed to Elektra Records and created hits such as “Peachfuzz” and “Who Me?” In 1993 Dj Subroc was struck and hit by a car while attempting to cross the Long Island Expressway, later that week the group was dropped from their label, and heard news of their second album titled “Black Bastards” being shelved due to the controversy over its cover art. From 1994 to 1997 Dumile retreated the Hip-Hop scene and battled depression over his lost brother and homelessness. During the late 90’s Doom left New York and moved to Atlanta where KMD’s second album “Black Bastards” became bootleg and lead to the enigmatic rappers rise in the underground Hip-Hop world.
